It all started with "Shadows of the Mind" in February! A novel that introduced us to Jacob, a horny young man who yearned for a boyfriend. Then one night aliens landed in a field and everything changed. So began Jacob's adventures. He met Callum and Zane and Suzy and Mr. Barnaby along the way. With his new friends, there was love for him. Then in April, "Light of the Body" was released and we found out a lot more about Jacob and his developing friendships and loves. We also discovered a enigmatic 'friend' of Mr. Barnaby lurked in the General Store's back room.
June saw a turn come to the series. Just when Jacob thinks that all is coming along nicely, a being known as an 'eternal' decides to take him as food. So was released, "Time of the Soul". Jacob is now alone and fighting for his life, part, present and future.
After defeating the eternal, "Fire of the Heart" added a complexity to the story. Jacob learns that there is a lot more going on, and indeed a lot more than just the sleepy little town of Pembroke Eve to worry about. He is taken to the dragon realm, where one mistake cost both him and Callum a lot of grief.
Now, coming soon on the 15th of October, "Hope of the Spirit" concludes the Pembroke Eve Chronicles. Jacob and Callum are in for the fight of their lives as they find themselves on the last place in the universe they'd ever want to be. The eternal homeworld.
Start the adventure today! By the time you have read up to Hope of the Spirit, it'll be released :-) Comment on this post to win a copy of Shadows of the Mind for those of you who would like a kick-start into the series :-)

Seems there's a new sport and it could only be the annual Shepherd's shemozzle in
the small town of Hunterville, where men are men and men eat bulls'
testicles.
The 'sport' requires that men (and ladies if they please), bite down into bull's testicles (no, not while attached to the bull) and carry them in their mouths for 50m. Who comes up with this stuff? I wonder what train of thought is required for: let's cut off a bull's testicles, put them into your mouth, run with them and then swig b... Continue reading...

It seems that in my dazed and confused state this week (working 14 hour days and getting a slight cold) I entered a competition and won! Now, I've never won anything in my life, so you can imagine my surprise. What did I win? I won a cover promotion for one of my books for one month at either The Romance Studio, Romance Junkies or Millennium Promotions (eXtasy's promotional arm) So which one do I choose? I need to get my name out, no doubt, especially as I am a new force in GLBT speculative f... Continue reading...

Time and time again I hear people
complain about romance being too sweet. On heaps of review sites I see
the same words: story was too sweet. I say, what's wrong with that? If
that's what the story is supposed to be, how can it be anything else?
Too
much our lives are filled with hate and hurt and bad things happening
every day. Just turn on the news, there's your proof. Why do you think
romance sells so well? Because it's needed. Sweet is needed.
Sure,
we need real life stories. Stor... Continue reading...

About Me
My name is Mark Alders. I live in a house. This house has a street in front of it which is a good thing because if it didn't I wouldn't be able to drive down to the shop and purchase the chocolate I need on a daily basis *giggle*
Seriously, I am a mild mannered post office worker by day and an erotic romance writer (mainly male/male) at night. Not much else to say other than, like everyone else, I have bills to pay, a mortgage and family that I love and drive me crazy all at the same time. Oh, and I have a dog, too!
See?
Average Joe...except when I get down and write...then I let my imagination go to places I never knew existed and my characters invade my mind.
