I'm in a silly mood today (that pretty much covers me most of the time anyway LOL)

So...I was thinking, what movies/TV shows would be better if they were m/m? I mean, I know it won't ever happen, and that this is just pure hypothetical fantasy, but I got to thinking, gee, this movie/story would be great if two of the male lead characters in the show formed a romance! Many the world over have thought the same and many characters have become a pairing in the fan world, with some becoming so famous that the word 'slash' derived from it.

I'm talking about the Kirk/Spock pairing in the Star Trek original series TV shows. If there's one thing that says 'slash' it's these two! An alien who is so logical and annoying that a sex mad Captain could really show him how to lighten up! Phew! What a ride. Some great stories have come out of the fans' imaginations. Fans have even made spin-off series, and Star Trek: New Voyages and Hidden Frontier are two fine examples of just how gay characters should be protrayed in the future.

Another story that comes imediately to mind would have to be Frodo and Sam in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Sure, this pairing has been fodder for m/m slash writers the world over, but hey, there's some good material to work with here! LOL (we all know that big feet on a man means big cock, don't we? Or is that big ears?...hey whatever...the fun is in the imagining) And who doesn't like a Hobbit?

Next would then be the Harry Potter/Malfoy pairing in the Harry Potter movies/books. Who doens't like a bad boy? Again, slash fans have been writing this sort of stuff since J.K. got published, and some of it has actually been surprisingly good.

But how about something that may not be so obvious? What about the Cat and Lister in Red Dwarf? A slob and a neat freak in the same room, getting all romantic? That would be an interesting write (and read) Or Merlin and Arthur in the Merlin TV series? Two cute young men, all angsty and full of raging hormones...they gotta be doing it! LOL

So what's your favourite potential pairing that you would like to read or write about?
