Being a Man

I catch the train to and from work each day as some of you may know. Today, the experience was littered with something I hope I never have to witness again.
A man, in a worker's uniform (the construction type, complete with florescent orange vest) and about five seats away from me, decided he'd be something far from what anyone would consider a man.
What happened, I hear you ask? Well, ticket inspectors got on our carriage. They checked mine, a few other people's, and then, when they got to his so-called man, he flew up from his seat, throwing punches at the guards, swearing and carrying on like a complete idiot.
The guards tried to restrain him (there were three of them) but many times the man broke free from their grasp and --get this-- tried to open the doors to jump out of a moving train...
Now, one has to ask ones self, what goes through someone's mind who has clearly fare evaded, got caught, and has decided to hold up everyone by being a complete jackass. He continued to punch the guards, scream and carry on. Eventually they restrained him on the floor of the carriage by all of them sitting on top of him.
Now, this man had a wedding ring on his finger. No doubt has children. What a complete loser. If you haven't paid the fare, TAKE IT LIKE A MAN and accept you got caught. Simple as that. No use fussing.
The police were called.
So, for the sake of a 5 dollar fare, he now faces a criminal charge, fare evading, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and whatever else the police decide to throw at him. He was hand-cuffed and carried off the train like a complete tosser. What a brilliant example of man-hood he isn't.
He should be ashamed of himself. There were lots of school kids on the train at the time, too. What a great example he is of how to behave--not.
Actually, I feel sorry for him, I really do. Here is a man, working all day, supporting his family, mid 30's and carrying on like a 16 year old. In fact, I know plenty of 16 year olds who would never create drama like that, and for something so trivial, too.
He risked the life of himself, others AND will now be slugged with fines which will see to it he won't exactly be popular on the home front. "Hey honey, I'm home, but I got fined well over 2000 dollars and have a criminal record because I'm a complete fuck tool."
What a man--not!
