This year I have decided to do NaNo! Yep...I won Nano in '07, failed in '08 and am now going to give it another crack!

Why?

Well, I need to get some words down. Promoting and being published this year has meant my actual sit-down-at-the-computer-and-writing time has taken a beating. I am still writing but nowhere as near as much as I would like. Perhaps I as I am getting older the words I plant down satisfy me more, therefore needing less of them, but who knows. I think every author has this problem. The ideas are there, the words come, but spending the time each day to get them down, well, that's another matter.

I have an idea for a novel for NaNo, so I might as well run with it. My detective story can take a back seat for a month...I still need to nut out some plot details with that one anyway. Also, my other wips, I think I have about 7 of them, can also wait. *rolls eyes* LOL

Gee, why is it I take on so much!

So what am I going to write, I hear you ask? Well, Basically, I'm going to write a novel about aliens who people smuggle for another species. The novel will center around Drake (haven't got a last name yet). He has an argument with his partner (no name as of yet), and is drugged and smuggled as he leaves his apartment. This will be his adventure between that argument and the make-up all couples enjoy.

I wanted to do another sci-fi novel. I really enjoyed writing Shadows of the Mind and this new work will kind of be an extension of that with a similar theme of aliens not really having the best interests of humans in mind, but the human spirit and determination winning in the end.

I have also tentatively titled this novel, Tour of the Universe, mainly because Drake will be taken on a wild aventure as he tries to get back to Earth.
