Under: Giveaways
Fictionwise, one of the largest online eBook sellers has my book The Pauper's Prize up on their listings so you can pick up a copy of my book for a great price. Here is the link to get there.
Speaking of The Pauper's Prize, I got an email today from a fan--yes, a FAN who chose my book as part of the giveaways that went with the Rainbow Awards (Remember my book is now in the third and final round of those awards!). I was thrilled to hear that someone, other than people I know, wanted to read my work. I am also thrilled to bits that the work I put into my writing, of the worlds I create, has generated interest with other people.
Being an author, the greatest thrill is to know that strangers are reading and enjoying my work. Made my day. After all, without all our wonderful readers, then really being a writer is meaningless, isn't it?
I think that number 1) We write to be read. 2) We write to create. 3) We write to release something within us. If you are writing for money then you're in the wrong business IMHO.
If you would like a copy for FREE of The Pauper's Prize, comment below or just introduce yourself! Next week I will announce the 'winner' and request that person's email (or you can just contact me by clicking on the snail on my home page)
I am Mark Alders, writer, intactivist, post office worker, and all round nice guy...except when someone steals my chocolate! I am a proud Australian, and as such use different spellings and have some weird phrases, too. Hey, perhaps that's why I write some damn weird shit!
I can't change who I am.
So when you read one of my books, enjoy the ride, but please don't say I can't spell. I spell how I damn well feel like it! LOL Naw seriously, I spell like an Aussie...do forgive me because we are a breed unto ourselves. Where else can a place have 11 registered public holidays and no one has any idea what they are for except to have a BBQ and down some beers!
If you do find a genuine error in my work, please let me know so I can speak with my editor...also, as an addition to that, offer chocolates as well. Lots of chocolates.
*hugs*
Mark
